Are you struggling to find a niche for which you can find a hot info product to sell or create? Well don’t… seriously.
Most entrepreneurs spend too much time looking for “hot” product to sell and to maintain engagement with their lists, but first you must have a clear focus on what your niche is, and justify why you want to enter it, and build a business around it.
Remember, that when you select the niche that interests you the best strategy is to first get to know what is out there, and identify how you can enter the marketplace and stand out from the rest or take a unique angle. This does not need to be difficult, as a matter of fact you already have it within you, you just need to discover it.
First jot down your interests. What is your passion? What excites you? What is it that you feel you have to offer others that could be valuable? Please do not judge. Most people tend to think they do not have anything to offer that is worth charging for or they think that the market is saturated or other useless mind chatter. All I can say is STOP! You are you, you are unique, you have unique life experiences, skills, and talents that other people do not have… so get over it and start living your dreams.
Once you have your broad topic of interest. Start doing some research. Use reference materials for your topic or industry such as books and/or other written publications, online reports, or forums. Start making note of all the different sub niches for your main niche. You will see them just about everywhere you look.
For instance, if you love producing videos there are literally hundreds of sub-niches related to that topic. Some could be: video marketing, editing, shooting, equipment required, writing scripts, etc, etc. Then you also have different types of video styles, for instance documentary, commercials, sales videos, and then whether or not they are live person, animated, doodle, and the list goes on.
One of the best way to determine which niches are hot is to look at everyday problems, common scenarios or frequently asked questions, and current trends and fads. Don’t put yourself behind closed doors and get stuck on one certain niche. You can see how just one area of interest can lead into many specialties and even unrelated items! For instance, if you are into video marketing, that can lead to all sort of other aspects of marketing as well, unrelated to videos.
While researching, also gather information, and start building your list of topics or possible subjects you could cover in your own info product. How is the best way you can put the information and experience you have to use?The outcome of your research will depend solely on you, and the way you perceive, and organize the information you find.
While you are performing research, don’t forget the tried and true methods such as keyword research. This is something that you absolutely cannot go wrong with. You must understand what people are searching for in the search engine such as Google, Yahoo, Bing. Google’s Keyword Planner can help with that.
Common sense is all that is required. Don’t over think it. Put your talents to use and take time to look closely at products that people buy and use on a daily basis. Expand your thoughts and look into products and information that people depend on to help enhance their lives. Remember, this is not about you. It is about what others do. Everyone wants to be happy, healthy, and productive. Based on that fact, take time to look around you and put your creative senses to use!
